Following the publication of the Gowers Review on Intellectual Property, Andrew Gowers, Head of the Review will reflect on its findings. He will be joined by representatives of both early stage technology businesses and the creative industries for an interactive discussion on the next phase of IP in the UK, and its impact on small businesses. Panellists include Professor Paul Jeffcutt from the Centre for Creative Industries at Queens University in Belfast, Stephen Bates, UK Chief Executive of ANGLE Ventures and John Howkins, Director of the Adelphi Charter. Lynne Brindley, CEO of the British Library will chair the discussion. We will also announce NESTA’s plans for an IP Accelerator – a mentoring programme that will help small innovative businesses to understand the strategic importance and management of their intellectual property and to help maximise its value.
